Abstracts

We are pleased to invite you to submit your abstract for the 4th European Training Symposium (ETS) on Advanced Heart Failure Therapies, taking place June 18–20, 2026, in Hannover, Germany.

End-stage heart failure requiring mechanical circulatory support (MCS) or heart transplantation (HTx) remains one of the most complex and rapidly evolving challenges in cardiovascular medicine. Ongoing donor organ shortage has accelerated the development of innovative medical and mechanical bridge strategies, while MCS is now firmly established as both bridge and destination therapy. At the same time, rapid technological advances, next-generation devices, and emerging approaches such as gene and regenerative therapies are reshaping the field.

We invite submissions of clinical and experimental research, including original studies, translational projects, and case reports related to, but not limited to:

  • Patient selection and timing of advanced therapies
  • Indications and outcomes for MCS and HTx
  • Current and next-generation device technologies
  • Right heart failure and perioperative management
  • Anticoagulation strategies
  • Innovations in bioengineering, material science, robotics, and regenerative medicine

Accepted abstracts will be presented as poster contributions, offering the opportunity to share your work with an international expert audience and to engage in interdisciplinary discussion.

Join us in Hannover for three days of scientific exchange, education, and collaboration as we explore the present and future of advanced heart failure therapies.

Abstract submission will be open from March 15, 2026, to April 30, 2026. We encourage you to submit your work within this period and contribute to shaping the future of advanced heart failure therapies.
